In 1989, after a very long journey through almost all of Central America and Mexico, I arrived in New York with a suitcase full of dreams and aspirations. My brother, Polo, had been living in New York for the past 12 years and was the owner of his own beauty salon. He was my inspiration, and the reason that I choose to pursue a career in beauty.

New York was my playground, and I its prodigal student. I attended several seminars during my 12 year stay in New York, cultivating my knowledge and experience. In 1997,I came to visit my friend Silvia in Houston, who needed help for a few days in her salon, Salon Hairclick. A few days turned into months and my journey continued. I soon met Mr. Luis Miranda, who quickly gave me a job at his prestigious salon. I then joined Mr. Victor Rodriguez, owner of Switch Hair Salon.

This is where I blossomed. I gained an immense amount of knowledge and grew to understand the needs of my clients more clearly. It was this knowledge that I opened Art & Beauty Salon in May, 2000. After being in this location for eight years, I am happy to announce the grand opening of our new salon. Our salon offers services that range from hair and nails to all types of skin and body treatments. We await your arrival.

Hello I am Manuel. My career began in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I was born. I have 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. I have attended several beauty conventions in the U.S. and Europe, thus being at the forefront of the latest fashion trends.

I am Claudia, from Colombia. I came to reside in Houston eight years ago. I began to work at Art & Beauty Salon as a shampoo specialist. These last eight years have given me the opportunity to learn the importance of maintaining the care of your hair. I started my training in Mexico City and continued when I moved to Houston. I have worked in a number of salons within the Houston area, and have many years of experience. With extensive training in cut, color, and highlights I can give anyone the new look they desire. A good hairstylist is innovative, open to new ideas, and understands that one’s personal style is reflected through their hair.

I become a hairstylist in 1979 in Bogota, Colombia. My studies began at the Francesa Academy in Bogota. I have attending several seminars of colors and cuts.
